Getting started
- Use a computer with a webcam and a recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
- Press PLAY WITH HAND and allow camera access when your browser asks.
- The first load downloads the hand-tracking model (about 8 MB), so give it a few seconds.
- A short practice runs the first time. It teaches the finger gun step by step, then starts Game A.
No webcam? Press PLAY WITH MOUSE and click to shoot.
Camera problems
"Camera permission denied"
Your browser blocked the camera for this site. Click the camera or lock icon at the left of the address bar, set Camera to Allow, then reload the page.
On a Mac, also check System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera and turn on your browser.
The camera is in use by another app
Close video-call apps (Zoom, Meet, Teams, FaceTime) or other tabs that use the camera, then press PLAY WITH HAND again.
"Hand tracking failed to start"
The tracking model couldn't load or your graphics driver refused it. Check your connection and reload. If it keeps failing, try Chrome, which has the best support, or play with the mouse.
Can I play on a phone or tablet?
It's made for a laptop or desktop webcam that faces you while you point at the screen. Phones work for mouse-style play (tap to shoot), but holding the phone and aiming at it with the same hand is awkward.
Aiming & shooting
It doesn't see my hand
- Sit about an arm's length from the camera, with your hand inside the dashed box.
- Light your hand from the front. A bright window behind you makes your hand a silhouette.
- Keep your palm sideways to the camera, like holding a real pistol.
My thumb drop doesn't fire
Watch the bar under the camera preview. Your thumb has to go past the green line to cock and past the orange line to fire. Both lines learn your hand, so after a few full up-and-down movements they settle to your range.
Make the movement bigger: thumb clearly up, then all the way down onto your finger. A small twitch isn't enough.
It fires when I don't mean to
Keep your thumb raised high between shots and curl your other fingers. When they open, the gun un-cocks and won't fire.
My shots land off target
The shot lands where the crosshair was when your thumb started to drop, so your aim jerking during the shot doesn't matter. If you still miss, hold your index finger steadier and replay PRACTICE from the title menu to warm up.

Rules
- Each round has 10 ducks. You get 3 shots each time ducks appear.
- Ducks fly away when your shots or time run out, and the sky turns pink.
- Hit enough ducks to pass the round: 6 up to round 10, rising to all 10 from round 20.
- Black, blue and red ducks are worth more as they get faster. Hit all 10 for a perfect bonus.
Chip in
The game is free and has no ads. If you enjoy it, you can chip in with UPI. It goes towards:
- keeping the game online and maintained
- the occasional treat for Bailey, the cat who supervises every commit

UPI ID
This is a voluntary gift to an individual, not a purchase or a charity donation. You don't get anything in return, it isn't tax-deductible, and UPI payments can't be reversed from this site. Please only send what you're happy to give. Payment happens entirely in your UPI app. This site never sees your bank or card details.
Privacy
- Your camera video never leaves your device. Hand tracking runs in your browser. No video or images are uploaded.
- The tracking code and model download from Google's and jsDelivr's content networks, and the font from Google Fonts.
- Your top score and whether you finished practice are saved in your browser only.
- Page visits are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you: just the page, your country, browser, device type and where you came from.
- To see how the game is played, it records anonymous gameplay events (gun picked, practice finished, game started, round reached, final score, share button pressed), linked to the same random ID kept in your browser. No name, video or IP address is stored.
- Sharing sends only what you choose to post, through the app you pick.
- If you submit a score to the world leaderboard, the name you type, your score, round and game type are stored and shown publicly, linked to a random ID kept in your browser so your runs count as one entry. Nothing else about you is sent.
- Chipping in happens entirely in your UPI app, between your bank and mine. Like any UPI transfer, I'll see the name and UPI ID your bank shares with the payment, and I never publish them.
